PPS Flow+

PPS® Flow+ safety Huber needles are indicated for the administration or withdrawal of fluids through implantable ports.

PPS® Flow+ are designed to prevent blood-borne pathogen exposures caused by accidental needle punctures. POLYPERF® Safe does not protect against other routes of blood-borne pathogen transmission.

Some PPS® Flow+ items have a closed Luer BD Q-Syte™ access system at the tip of the line. The safety Huber needle remains always closed thanks to this device sealed on its tubing. A universal system, BD Q-Syte™ constitutes a barrier against infections and gases, thus improving the access to intravenous routes. Its design ensures that the catheter remain aseptic after a syringe or infusion line removal.

Already pre-mounted on the Huber needles, the closed BD Q-Syte™ system is instrumental in care procedure simplifications, and good practice compliance.

Single hand removal of the safety Huber needle PPS® Flow+ automatically and simultaneously generates a positive pressure (saline injection) in the implantable port, thus limiting the risk of blood clot obstruction of the distal tip of the catheter.
