Leadercath expert

Leadercath Expert is a 1 lumen antimicrobial XRO polyurethane central venous catheter introduced by Seldinger technique.
The ionic silver antimicrobial agent (Agion) is integrated within the bulk polyurethane material to reduce the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infection. Silver ions are released slowly to ensure a long term efficacy.

2 lengths are available:

• 20cm: ref. 8128.420 (6Fr); ref. 8128.620 (5Fr);
• 30cm: ref. 8128.430 (6Fr); ref. 8128.630 (5Fr);

It is presented in a rigid blister pack containing:

• 1 polyurethane catheter (totally radiopaque) with fixation wings, extension line and centimetric graduations,
• 1 needle 18G, 70mm,
• 1 Teflon-coated “J” Nitinol guidewire (particularly kink-resistant) with guide-advancer,
• 1 dilator,
• 1 injection cap,
• 1 5ml syringe,
• 1 supplementary fixation wing.

Leadercath Expert catheters contain photo reactive silver compounds. To protect the catheters from the light, they are delivered within a blind sheath.
